A trip to the Ballet in Paris

The starting point for the new girl's collection was a trip to the beautiful Paris Opera House to see the ballet. It was a magical experience: plush red seating, an amazing Chagall mural on the ceiling, and glamorous chandeliers. It reminded me of the Ballets Russes, a wonderful source of textile design inspiration!

And this is the final result - lots of Matryoshka dolls, eastern European folk motifs, Russian Ballerinas and bright jewel coloured florals. I would love to visit Russia one day...
