Another great little title from Jeu de Paume, Japan is 'Stockholm's Apartments'. Lots of clean Scandi interiors with retro details and great textiles. And plenty of Ikea!

Putting together a design - 'Wild Things'

Here is a little insight into the Hiccups printed bed linen designs. Each print is hand painted into a 64cm rotary repeat, with separate pillowcase and reverse coordinate art work. Depending on the intricacies of the design, the finished artwork can take up to two weeks to complete, a much slower process than designing on the computer!

A mixture of watercolour / gouache painting and linocut printing were used to create this artwork - I love to use a combination of techniques in the design process.

Children's book illustration - Joanna Rubin Dranger

Another great book from Stockholm, with the english title of 'Dudley the Daydreamer', written by Anders Brundin and illustrated by Joanna Rubin Dranger, check out her website here. I love the colourful and vibrant illustrations and her use of mixed media - Dudley's daydreams look pretty amazing!

Children's book illustration - Stig Lindberg

A few images from a little children's book I picked up in Stockholm; 'Krakel Spektakel Koper en Klubba'. Written by Lennart Hillsing and beautifully illustrated by Stig Lingberg, this classic book was first published in 1957. I love the illustrations, they remind me a little of Andy Warhol's early pen and ink advertising drawings.
