Wallpaper love

Toile de Jouy in any shape and form has long been a design favourite of mine, and this new take on the classic toile design by Nina Campbell most definitely fits the bill! I love both the colour and the motifs of this wallpaper design, and the styling by Skona Hem is particularly lovely.

More Dinosaurs in Brisbane

A big thank you to the lovely Katanya for posting photos of her new home in Brisbane, displayed on her blog 'the small things'. Here is her son's bedroom, featuring the Hiccups 'Dinosaur Land' design. I love the artwork display, and I have a feeling that Kat may have a future Richard Attenborough type on her hands by looking at all of the dinosaur bits and pieces in this bedroom...

Dinosaur land

And here is the Hiccups 'Dinosaur land' quilt cover set, now available in the UK and Ireland from Debenhams stores.

The Great Paper Caper by Oliver Jeffers

A great new picture book from Oliver Jeffers, explaining the importance of recycling and conservation in a whimsical and beautifully illustrated style. I love the combinations of typed fonts, handwriting, watercolour and pencil drawing, all in a delicious colour palette. And don't forget the bonus cover with paper plane instructions.

Mouse Mat revisited

What a wonderful creation from Toast - a hand knitted Mouse Mat. This is one mouse I would be happy to have reside in my home!

Hansel and Gretel

A gothic fairy tale beautifully re-told by Cynthia Rylant and magically illustrated by one of my favourite artists Jen Corace. Although I bought this as a Christmas present, I think I may have to venture back to the bookshop for another copy....

More Matryoshkas!

And while on the subject of Matryoshkas, here is the Hiccups applique bed linen design 'Matryoshka'. Our Russian dolls are a little more rounded than the svelte Vogue models!

Matryoshka dolls - designer style

Vogue Russia has recently celebrated ten years of publication, and to mark the event a number of top fashion designers were asked to create their own interpretations of the famous Matryoshka doll. (We love Matryoshka dolls here at Hiccups!) The dolls will be auctioned off for charity.

Very cute cards for kids

I love these kiddy card designs by UK company Tea-Time Tarts, available at Readings bookstores around Melbourne. Those bright colours are so happy and appealing!
